There was no adware, toolbars, malware or spyware included with the package. When first running, there was an offer of seeing the instructions to help teach the new user how to use the software. The software required minimal space and did not require to be installed. The software not only works on desktop and laptop computers, but can also be placed on a USB flash drive and other mobile storage options and it will protect the files stored in a protected folder there too. Industry-standard 256-bit AES Encryption is used to protect the files selected for encryption. Files can be made completely inaccessible, unmovable to another folder or hard drive, or undeletable to help prevent malicious (or accidental) removal of the file(s). With file security there are also three methods available. It is nice to have the choice of three different methods of protection. The user can decide for themselves whether they merely wish to lock access to the file folder, scramble the data or encrypt behind a password as well. There are three locking methods: Lock, Scramble and Encrypt. The software includes a few innovations that not every other folder protection software package has.
